Mailbag - 06/25/01 Brian S. Asks: Did you guys see that Zelda commercial for the gameboy color? Is that Gamecube footage of Zelda they are showing?! It looks cool enough to be. During e3 I saw some stills of this commercial on a website before anyone knew it was a commercial, and someone was claiming they were exclusive screenshots of Zelda for gamecube. Oh well, just curious. Maybe you guys can look into it or something. Snoop Answers: Yeah, that was a very cool commercial. But no, it isn't footage of the GameCube Zelda game. But don't be dispared, the GameCube could come close to those graphics easily, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some amazing things on the video of Zelda GameCube being shown off at SpaceWorld 2001 in August. The game itself won't be released till mid-2002 (my estimate) but I think it will be safe to say it will deliver some amazing stuff. For those of you who haven't seen the commercial, you can view it at www.wwfzelda.com. Goku015 Asks: Will konami make Metal gear solid 2 for the Gamecube? Snoop Answers: Konami has already announced support for the GameCube, but it's not known what titles we'll see. Jurassic Park 3 is almost a definate, and there's others which are good shots. But it's not known weather or not this title will eventually make it's way to the GameCube. Konami has already shot down rumors of this happening, but considering how pleased everyone has been with the GameCube, and if other Konami games do well on the GameCube, we may eventually see this title on the GameCube.
