Spaceworld 2000, Day 2

With the pre-show over and done with, the first real day of SpaceWorld opens today. Today, the news isn't as revolutionary, but it gets the job done. So today I will be concentrating on the GBA and the periferals of the NCube, and don't forget some of the stuff from N64! Read on as I have the information of the day:

The Colors! Its Psychedelic!
In a pretty cool move, everything being released by Nintendo in it's next-gen line up, including the GBA will come in multiple colors! Just take a look at these!

GameCube Uses Small DVDs
Nintendo has gone with the 12 centimeters wide DVD Minidisk, and I mean its mini. At only about 2/3 the size of a normal CD, the disk will be able to hold 1.5GigaBytes of space. Compared to the 528MB max for the N64, that's huge. You can fit three copies of Resident Evil 2 on it! One of the main reasons for Nintendo to use minidisks was piracy, this should cut down tremendously on it, keeping game prices down, and more!

So, How Does the GBA Connect to NCube?
One of the most important aspects of GBA and NCube, the connectivity. So, here is how they do it! The GBA connects to the com-port on the top of the system. Simple as that. But what will the power to connect behold? Well here is just some of the things! One thing to do is you can use the GBA as a controller for NCube! Another thing they can do is have you play part of the game on the go, and when you are at home, just transfer it to the Cube and continue playing with improved graphics! What else, used to transfer data ingame, let me explain. Lets say someone was playing Perfect Dark on the GBA, they had a player saved and such, the player could use the GBA to connect and use that player, while the people who don't have Perfect Dark for GBA can use the NCube's normal controller and use people saved on the NCube. Might I like to add, no Perfect Dark game has been confirmed for GBA or NCube. I was just using that as a example.

The NCube Periferals
The time has come for everything to get accustomed to the things you are going to need to get if you want the best gaming experience ever! There is plenty more to be learned, so just hold on tight as the reports continue to come in!

The V.90 56K Modem Attachment

Used for online gameplay, e-mail, browsing, and more, this will attach to the bottom of the system, than just plug your phone line in and you are ready! It transmits at 56K, and will be available at the system's release.

Broadband Modem Attachment

Want to connect with a broadband? Than do it with this! Much like the 56k, the broadband will attach to the bottom of the NCube, and all you have to do is plug in and you are ready. The use is much like the 56K one, but faster.

Wireless Controller

Finally Nintendo has come to their senses and they are going to make a wireless controller. Thank god. No more hassle with wires and the such. It will use RF frequencies to transmit the data. I would like to add though, the system comes with a wired controller, you must get this separate from the wired ones.

Digicard (Memory Pak)

Here is the new memory pak, this will be used to save games, stats, player, and basically everything else. Same function as the N64 Memory Pak.

N64 Show Stoppers!
Today at the show, there was a good amount of N64 games being shown. But here here are the real show stoppers.

MarioParty 3, the third in the series was one of the most visited booths. The game will have 80 minigames and many of them are new. There will also be new modes of play, and more characters to chose from.

Sin & Punishment, an anime-style shooter was another hit. One of the first shooters developed by Nintendo itself. The game is set in the future, and there is tons of over population, and resources are low. The game will feature rumble pak support, and will be stored on a 256 MB GamePak.

Another is Echo Delta, a Real Time Strategy game. The game is set underwater, with subs and some really sweet weapons. The game is being developed by Marigul, the same people who did Hey You, Pikachu! But now no longer bound to the Pokemon licence, they have creative freedom. Expect more info by tomorrow.

Tomorrow, we should have some GBC information, and as well N64 info. Today was nothing like yesterday, but there was plenty of revolutionary news. With all of the GBA titles coming out, and with more to be revealed about NCube, NintendoVillage will be on top of the event with its coverage!
