Spaceworld 2000, Days 3 & 4

As the event ends today, what we have learned over the past few days was revolutionary. But the fact remains, all of the big info will be released in another 9 months from now at SpaceWorld 2001. Since I combined yesterday's and today's info, we have alittle more than the other days of the even. One thing is the showing of Pokemon: Crystal and Pokemon Stadium: Gold/Silver. Today, I also provide some videos of the upcoming games! Take a look folks, its great.

Image of How GBA Connect to NCube
I had a few people ask me for an image of how the GBA and NCube connect, and I am here to provide. So here it is:

SpaceWorld Coverage: Day 2 Correction
In day two of the coverage, I put that the NCube CD would be able to fit about 3 Copies of Resident Evil 2. This is far from correct, the actual number of copies of a game would be 42 copies of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Resident Evil 2 takes 512 MegaBits, not MegaBytes as I placed in the coverage. My apologies.

StarCube Was the Name?
According to NCL (Nintendo of Japan) the original name for the GameCube WAS going to be StarCube, but they changed it late in the system's development. It was changed because the head honchose at Nintendo didn't like it, and I say thank god.

GBA Carts Hold 512 MegaBits!
It is now known that GameBoy Advance game carts are capable of hold 512 megabits, or about 64MegaBytes! Thats about the size of Resident Evil 2 on the N64! This is friggen huge! You now know the true power of the GBA.

The Game Line Up For the Mobile System
In case you missed my report on the Mobile System on day one, here is the jist of things. It is Cell Phone connector that attaches to your GameBoy Color allowing you to play games online, and download special things, and the like. And the system has a few nice games on the lineup, including Pokemon Crystal.

Pokemon Crystal
Reportedly the online version of Pokemon Gold/Silver, this game will allow people to download Pokemon eggs, trade Pokemon, and post their Pokemon teams on a network. Along with that, you can download Pokemon with special Pokemon. This game WILL be compatible with Pokemon Stadium: Gold/Silver.

Portable Golf
Apparently the online version of Mario Golf, the game will allow users to download new courses, characters, and post stats on a network. Nothing much else is known about it.

Other Games:
Game Boy Wars: Pocket Tactics
Beatmania Net Jam
Minigame Hajimemashita

Dance Dance Revolution Weasels Into The N64
We can dance if we want to, we can leave our friends behind, cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, they are no friends of mine. The premise behind Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Dance Museum and a very cool song. But what is so different from this N64 other than the fact that it has to do with dancing? This game will take advantage of something never seen on the N64, the dance pad. Much like the thing used on the NES, the dance pad will take movements and allow the game to use them. Another nice addition to the N64 lineup, if you like dancing and Micky Mouse...

Pokemon Stadium 3!
Thats right Pokemon fans, the third installment (or second for us in the UK and US) of the Stadium series was at SpaceWorld, though there was nothing revolutionary about this game (like the originals), it looks like it will be a good game for all of you pokemaniacs out there. So here is a small list of the many new features being introduced.

251 Pokemon
Battle scenes updated with new 3D polygon actions
New mini-games
Four-players
Can be used with Pokemon Blue/Red, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Gold/Silver and Pokemon Crystal
Transfer Pak support

Other N64 Games at the Show
Here are some of the other N64 games that were shown at the show!

MegaMan64, the next game in the series was a top-shown item at the show. Made by the newly on board with Nintendo company, Capcom, featured great graphics, controls, sounds, and gameplay. The only complaint people had was the camera angels. But I don't think you can let a few camera angels get in your way of getting this game when its released now will they? MegaMan is expected to be on of the largest games of the year, so hold on to your seatbelts when it comes out!

Mickey's Speedway USA, a game by video game guru RareWare, was one of the best racers at the show. It boasted great graphics, intense gameplay, and fun four player action!

GBC Tilt Pak Game
Another game, the second game on the GBC to feature Tilt Pak gameplay was a sleeper hit at the show. The game's name is Game Commander. In the game you become a hero and you have to face baddies. The action is turn based and the controls are mostly tilting and the A and B buttons. The tilt pak devise, much like the rumble pak on the GBC is built in. Expect this game out sometime in the near future.

First GBC-Only Zelda Game!
This first GameBoy Color-only Zelda game is coming soon! The game will pit Link in another adventure! We have a video so check it out!

Mario Tennis GBC
Like its N64 counter-part, Mario Tennis GBC offers up some intense tennis action. The game will feature eight characters and will have things like a training mode, a help center, and the ability to connect with the N64 version via Transfer Pak. With the transfer pak you can unlock about four new characters for the N64 version.

And this ends The Village Network's SpaceWorld 2000 coverage. Its been an explosive four days, and I could not be happier at what I saw. On Monday night, I will be uploading the Village Network's first audio editorial, done by none other than me. I will be going over all of the big events and my impressions of the NCube, GBA, Mobile System, and the N64 and GBC lineup. For video footage of the event, the links to the download areas on OneBigVillage.com are right above this who thing. I hope you have had as much fun reading the event coverage as much as I have enjoyed writing it. For the whole shabang, all you have to do is wait nine months till E3 2001, thats the OFFICIAL unavailing of the NCube. But in the mean time, we will keep delivering the best information we can find.
